Bulgaria
Age:
13-16 years old
Subject:
Physical Education and Sports, English, Russian
Local adaptation:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the activity was held online.
How did the teachers implement the activity?
Since the activity has been held online, the teacher presented the sentences on the screen and everyone worked individually for about 10-15 minutes. Then everyone shared his/her statements to the others.
How did students react to the activity?
It helped them overcome the anxiety of saying good things about themselves in front of others. It made them think about things they hadn’t paid attention to until now. At the same time, it helped them get to know each other better.
Other comments:
The teacher suggests using this activity to help students pay attention to their positive traits and talents. Moreover, it supports them to think about how others perceive them and gain the confidence to talk about themselves, their qualities and strengths in front of others without concerns. The only limit has been to organize it online: this can be harder for some of the students who are shy and who don’t want to speak with their classmates.
