The activity was held online due to the COVID-19 emergency. Moreover, the teacher added more characters to the story, to meet her teaching goals and allow students to express on more topics.
How did the teachers implement the activity?
The teachers adopted this activity because she thought it was different and appropriate to express her opinion about such a situation. She was also interested in who would react and how. The activity turned out very well: students discussed, shared opinions and came to a common conclusion.
How did students react to the activity?
The students reacted positively to the activity. Some of them stated that this allowed them to understand and think about some specific emotions and how to react towards certain situation.
The teacher suggests adding more characters to the story provided: this allows, through the different characters, students to express their opinion and reaction in a similar situation. This helped her to draw attention to those who would act more aggressively in a conflict.
If this activity is used in a language class, it is better to be used in a higher level, since it would allow students to express their feelings in a richer way.
