The activity was held online, but no other adaptations were included.
How did the teachers implement the activity?
Before starting the activity, the teacher had a discussion on how to deal with negative emotions. Then, she presented the barometer on the screen and each student shared their emotional status with the others. The teacher used the support provided by the evaluation questions of the activity.
How did students react to the activity?
Students evaluated extremely positively the activity since it helped them to get to know each other better and to make the emotional climate of the classroom more comfortable.
It is important to understand that everyone experiences these emotions, that the same situation is perceived differently by each person and causes different reactions. At this age, students are emotionally unstable, have a rapid change of mood, easily get into conflicts and it is extremely important to work with emotions and ways to deal with them.
Finally, it is important to give a specific care with students with Special Education Needs, who perceive the expression of emotions in their way.
